Havering celebrates Armed Forces Day with stunning parade.
All members of the armed forces came out to parade in Romford on Saturday 29 June, as Havering paid tribute to all its military personnel. This was one of the largest parades the borough has seen in a long time that included members of the Army, Navy and Air Force cadets, marching alongside our Veterans.

The parade was led by the Royal Legion band, and also included our scouts, and members of the police.

Havering dignitaries -Mayor Councillor Gerry O Sullivan, Leader of the Council, Councillor Ray Morgon and Cabinet Member Barry Mugglestone all joined the parade. Andrew Rosindell was present and had special guest Jeffrey Archer with him. Julia Lopez, Andrew Achilleos and Sidra Naeem were also at the event.

Chief Inspector Charlie Routley and his team of officers also joined in Saturday’s march.

Havering Mayor Councillor O’Sullivan paid tribute all our armed forces personnel and thanked them for their incredible service. The Mayor’s Chaplain Reverend Ken Wylie from St Andrew’s Church in Hornchurch, ended the parade with a special prayer.
