Rainham Library celebrates Green Week.
Saturday saw Rainham library host a special event to end their Green Week event.
Local residents, and Councillor Jackie McArdle and her amazing allotment team spent the afternoon helping with all the fantastic activities taking place.
Councillor McArdle told the Havering Daily:
“This was a great day despite the weather! Many events were planned that saw happy children make seed bombs, plant bulbs and sunflowers and participate in some very artistic rock painting.
“Parents were not left out as they were offered free gardening magazines, seeds, plants and advice.Lots of people left inspired to grow their own organic vegetables and become more self sufficient.
“If you would like advice or want to have your own allotment plot please visit Rainham Allotments on a Sunday between 1 and 3 for a chat we would love to see you.”
Well done to Jan and her team at Rainham library and Councillor McArdle and her allotment team for this amazing afternoon!
