A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of assault in Elm Park after a woman was injured by a van running over her foot.

The incident happened just after 11pm on Heron Flight Avenue in Elm Park, after a woman reported being injured by a van.

London Ambulance attended and the woman was taken to hospital where her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called to Heron Flight Avenue, Hornchurch, at 23.05 on Thursday, 13 June to reports of a woman injured after a van had been driven over her foot.

Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service. A woman was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. Her condition has been assessed as non life-threatening.

A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of causing GBH. He has been taken into custody.”
