Residents in Gidea Park are hitting the streets with their litter pickers! Mark Whiley today shares the latest event aimed at clearing the local Gidea Park streets.

Following our first sweep up last month, hastily arranged via Facebook, we’re pulling together for our second event in the Gidea Park / Squirrels Heath / Heath Park area.

All ages of litter pickers are welcome and we’ll provide rubbish bags, gloves, hi vis and picking equipment. Afterwards, you can choose to join us for lunch nearby.

Event Details:

We’re keen to add that prevention is better than cure. Please take your rubbish with you if you can’t find a bin, and if there’s a location that really needs one then get in touch.

You can contact the organiser Mark Whiley with your questions, requests to organise a road specific litter pick, or potential bin locations, at greenparty@markwhiley.com or on 07999 038118.

Can’t make it on June 15th? Then join our friends the Romford Town Wombles on June 8th for the Great Big Litter Pick in Romford Town Centre. They’ll meet outside Tollgate House, Romford Market.
