VIDEO:Ram raiders hit Harold Hill post office.

Ram raiders have destroyed the front of a post office on Petersfield Avenue. The incident happened just before 2am this morning as video footage shows a truck deliberately ramming the front of the shop window.

The truck remains at the scene alongside a police cordon.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“On Tuesday, 21 May officers were called to Petersfield Avenue, Harold Hill at around 02:00 to reports of a burglary.
Officers attended the scene and carried out all relevant enquiries, a crime scene in currently in place.
At this early stage, there have been no arrests.”
Enquiries into the circumstances are on-going, if you saw or know anything then please come forward to police on 101 stating CAD436/21MAY.
