Police respond to Petersfield Avenue ram raid within eight minutes.
The ram raid on Petersfield Avenue saw police officers respond within eight minutes. Yesterday was a challenging day for our officers as we also saw the death of a woman in Hornchurch who was mauled by her dogs and an arson attack on the Town Hall in Romford.
The Havering Daily spoke with Neighbourhoods Superintendent Hutchison: “The video footage on social media shows the Petersfield incident was over within three or four minutes. We responded within 8 minutes of the first call being logged.
“The incident is now being investigated by our flying squad officers and is an ongoing investigation.
“Yesterday we saw a lot of resourcing pressures but we were still able to get officers there quickly.”
It is worth remembering that officers remain in place across three locations, Hornchurch following the tragic death of a lady on Cornwall Close, the Town Hall following the arson attack and Petersfield Avenue after the shocking ram raid early this morning.
Superintendent Hutchison added: “If you are filming a video, please call us first. We appreciate all video footage but it is important we are called to the incident first.”
