A Rainham football team that is based at the Phoenix pub and plays its homes games at the Harris Academy- has won not one, not two, but three titles this season!

The Rainham and Barking Phoenix have this year won the Divisional Cup, the Fenton Trophy and the league-meaning they go up a league next season.

Managed by Paul, the team have been playing in the Essex Alliance League and now go up thanks to their amazing success!

Paul told the Havering Daily:”The key to our success is the fantastic camaraderie we have in our team. We don’t train all the time as everyone works different hours. But we all get on so well and the players have made great friendships and really enjoy playing.”

Paul was a former player and has been the manager since the team began in 2022. He added:”This is a very family orientated club. I have made sure that at the two finals we have played in, I asked all the players if they would like to have a mascot to walk out with. This gave people the opportunity to bring children or relatives with them and we added their names on the programmes. It is all about being a family club.

“They really are a great bunch of lads and I am very proud of them!”.

Well done to:
