Benhurst Primary School pupils attend special event at No 10 Downing Street.
Pupils and teachers from Benhurst Primary School in Hornchurch had the amazing opportunity to attend a special learning event at 10 Downing Street last week. Known as ‘Lessons at 10’, the initiative was set up with the aim to inspire children with a love of learning and to see what happens inside the famous address. It gives the children a real-life experience of democracy and to understand the role the government plays in society.
Headteacher Alice Larkman said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Benhurst pupils were able to take part in this great initiative as we are always seeking opportunities which allow them to gain knowledge and experiences which help them flourish as individuals.”
