Rainham business forced to close after 40 years stating the ULEZ expansion as the reason why.

A much loved family business in Rainham has announced it is closing its doors after 40 years of trading due to the Ultra Low Emission Zone expansion. Rainham Motorcaravans run by Steve, announced that he was sadly ceasing to trade this week due to ULEZ.

He wrote: “I want to thank each and every one of the wonderful customers we have met over the last 40 years. It has been a privilege to meet and do business with you all.

“Sad to say that due to ULEZ I have decided to cease trading and retire.”

When the Ultra Low Emission Zone expansion was announced, many business feared they would be forced to close their doors across Havering. Steve and his business are one of those. The company had been trading in Rainham for 40 years and has now bid farewell to the community.
