Labour’s Green Prosperity Plan will benefit Dagenham and Rainham by supporting the creation of 68,000 jobs in London, bringing good work in British industries in the capital and across the country.
As new figures show Labour’s Green Prosperity Plan could see over 650,000 good new jobs created across every part of the country, parliamentary candidate Margaret Mullane has said Labour is ‘laser-focused’ on the issues that matter to local people, bringing well-paid, high quality jobs into the community.
Labour’s plan will include investments to drive local and economic growth, with a National Wealth Fund that will help to create up to 650k jobs in Britain’s industrial heartlands, giving opportunities to plumbers, electricians, welders, and workers in every nation and region.
Margaret has confirmed that Labour’s investments in British industries has the potential to support Dagenham and Rainham by boosting jobs in the local automotive, port, biofuel and construction sectors. This national drive will complement work by the Mayor of London to boost green jobs – such as retrofitting and electric vehicle maintenance – through initiatives such as the Green Skills Academy.
Commenting on how Labour’s Green Prosperity Plan will benefit Dagenham and Rainham, Labour’s parliamentary candidate Margaret Mullane said:
“London can be a clean industry powerhouse and Labour’s Green Prosperity Plan is how we make that happen.
“From setting up Great British Energy, a publicly owned energy company, to a National Wealth Fund to rebuild our industrial strength, to our Warm Homes Plan to cut bills for families, a Labour government will work in partnership with the people of Dagenham and Rainham to create good, well-paid jobs.
“Only a vote for Labour can deliver the change and investment people here deserve. Labour has a long-term plan to deliver more jobs, more investment and cheaper bills.”
