Armed robbery at Hornchurch Post Office leaves two people injured.
A man brandishing a knife threatened staff at a post office/store in Hornchurch, leaving with a quantity of cash.
The incident happened on Station Lane on Thursday 4 April at 5.25pm.
The suspect is believed to have left along Stanley Road and through the alleyway leading to The Avenue.
Two people sustained minor injuries.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:
“Police were called at 17:25 on Thursday, 4 April to reports of a commercial robbery at a Post Office/store on Station Lane, Hornchurch.
Officers attended. At the scene a man had entered the venue and threatened staff with a knife before leaving with a quantity of cash.
A search of the area was made to locate the suspect without success. Detectives believe that the suspect made off along Stanley Road and went through the alleyway leading to The Avenue.
Two people sustained minor injuries during the incident.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged 18-35 years, of slim build wearing dark clothing. He wore black trainers with a white sole.
At the time of the offence he was also wearing a light coloured woollen hat, a face mask and sunglasses.
At this stage there has been no arrest. Enquiries continue to identify the suspect.”
