The Mercury is preparing itself for another month of fun packed activities.

Please see the list of events for next week at the Romford shopping centre.

Monday 8th

  • The Breakfast Club – A social gathering for socially isolated people, each month is a different craft/ interactive activity. This week we have collaborated with Th NO Collective apart of their Architecture Adventure Week. This week’s theme will be “Design your own ‘light dispersing’ panel in the style of Art Nouveau. Join artists Gill and April in this weeks ‘Breakfast Club’ session to create a window design based on the style of Art Nouveau”. Tuesday 9th

  • Kaleidoscope. An LGBTQIA+ social space for 17-24 year olds, held monthly in the bar area of Premiere Cinemas. This months activity is Mindful Colouring. For more info here is the link to the event – https://www.facebook.com/events/1396172327701175
  • Tuesdays are also sensory, where music is off in the mall to make shopping easier for people with sensory issues.

Thursday 11th

Friday 12th

Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th

  • This weekend of the month is Marvins Great Create Club – “ unleash your creativity; a different themed activity every four weeks”. This month’s theme is Our City, and is another No collective collaborated event. “Let your imagination run wild and build a fantastical town of adventure. This activity will show kids how things look to scale in the town with the fun of building using different materials to creative cool buildings and shops”. As usual, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, Dicing With Life is held in the bar are of Premiere Cinemas and on Level 3 of The Mercury. This is not a Mercury event but does occur every week, which has become important for some members of the community as it is routine social group that meets regularly to play board games.
