These moped riders are a real nuisance. They park wherever they want and do not get any parking tickets like cars do.’

A Collier Row disabled man has been battling against moped food delivery drivers parking in yellow box pick up points and causing difficulties to residents and drivers.

Andrew was injured when the vehicle picking him up could not park properly due to the moped riders parking where ever they want. The incident happened in Romford, just behind a shopping centre where vehicles struggle to get passed the many food delivery moped riders.

Andrew told the Havering Daily: “These moped riders are a real nuisance. They park wherever they want and do not get any parking tickets like cars do. They park all across the yellow box pick up point and cause vehicles coming down the road to have near misses.

“Many do not have correct business insurance and I’m glad the HRA and police are now looking into this.”

Andrew was injured in the incident and now fears for children and other disabled residents.

“The weekends are the worse time as their are so many there. I was hurt, but it could have been worse. What happens if a child or elderly person get’s hurt?”

Councillors from the Havering Residents Association are now working with the police to get this matter resolved.

Cabinet Member for Enforcement Councillor Barry Mugglestone told the Havering Daily:

“I will be looking into the issue of the high volume of moped delivery drivers who I have been informed are parking on yellow hatched areas and also pavements. This is unacceptable and I will be visiting the location to see the ongoing situation. I have also bought this to the attention of our local police.”

As nearly all these delivery riders are on ‘L’ plates, are they actually fully insured to contact a business? Aside from inconsiderate parking, they ride like idiots weaving in and out of traffic.

They all have a total disregard or anyone else, riding their electric cycles on the pavements at 15mph with no consideration for pedestrians is an accident waiting to happen. Selfish individuals working for greedy companies…. proper regulation and licensing is required with non conformists going to prison for a minimum of 5 years.

All the scooters you saw în that picture are rented , they don’t have any papers , they work with rented motorbike , rented account , they don’t care about anything, since no one cares they will do more harm, just need someone to call immigration to stop them
