Two men arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following Dagenham fatal collision.
Detectives are renewing appeals for information following the fatal collision.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a fatal collision in Dagenham last Friday.
Police were called at 08:26 on 26 January to reports of a 63-year-old woman who had suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Leys Avenue.
Officers attended and the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her Next of kin have been informed and continue to be supported by family liaison officers.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are leading the investigation. They have established that the collision involved two vehicles.
Two men, aged 42 and 47, have since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers would like to speak with anyone who was in the area of Rainham Road South or who has information that could assist police. Please call police via 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC quoting reference CAD 1452/26Jan.
