Following on from last year’s successful Jobs, Apprenticeships and Skills Fair in Harold Hill where 27 residents secured jobs and a further 56 were offered training opportunities, Julia Lopez MP will be hosting another fair in partnership with the Romford Jobcentre next month.

This upcoming Jobs, Apprenticeships and Skills Fair will be hosted during National Apprenticeship Week on Friday 9 February at Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, RM11 1QT, between 09.30am-12.30pm.

A range of employers will be hosting tables at the event including AstraZeneca, Barking, Havering Redbridge University Trust Hospitals (BHRUT), Metropolitan Police, Quint Education, Breyer Group and New City College. Specialist training providers such as Plias Resettlement and Care Providers Voice will also be on hand to provide skills advice and professional training. The full list of attending employers and training providers is available on my website at https://www.julialopez.co.uk/news/julia-lopez-mps-jobs-apprenticeships-and-skills-fair-9th-february-2024.

This event will be helpful to anyone who is seeking work, looking to get back into work, switch careers, or learn new skills and gain experience. Trained job coaches from the Romford Jobcentre will be in attendance at the fair to offer advice and information, while local employers will be there to meet residents to discuss their current vacancies, as well as what other roles and training they have to offer.

The event is free to attend, however applicants can choose to register their attendance at the fair in advance at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/jobs-apprenticeships-and-skills-fair-tickets-795253383277?aff=oddtdtcreator.

If you or any friends and family in Hornchurch & Upminster and the wider community are seeking employment, whatever your circumstances, Julia Lopez hopes this event will be an excellent opportunity to meet employers and training providers. We would encourage you to share this information with anyone that may interested in finding out more on the day.
