Miss Teen Galaxy raises over two thousand Christmas boxes to help children suffering with cancer.
Amber 17, who is ‘Miss Teen Galaxy International’ and her team of collection box ambassadors, children from Dagenham and Romford, have collected an incredible 2,200 boxes to distribute to children suffering with cancer.
The Dagenham teenager has already raised over £50K for charity and has now, with the help of local children, being able to deliver thousands of boxes to put a smile on children’s faces this Christmas.
Amber’s mother Nicola, told the Havering Daily: “Amber wanted to collect some boxes locally for children suffering with cancer.Children from Dagenham and Romford joined in to help out and became her collection box ambassadors and began to help her collect as many boxes as possible.
“The children really were amazing and between them, they have collected 2,200 boxes”
The project is being done in memory of Mickey Bennett, a 12 year old boy from Basildon, who sadly passed away in 2019.
Nicola continued: “We have given 1,000 boxes to the children’s cancer unit at Queen’s hospital, some to the Lennox charity and some to the Barking and Dagenham homeless charity.
“Everyone has been truly amazing!”
