Labour PPC tackles residents concerns on Stirling Close.
News from Margaret Mullane.
Margaret Mullane, the Labour Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, has been working hard across Dagenham and Rainham to represent residents on issues that matter most to them. Over the past few weeks Margaret has been contacted by residents of Stirling Close, Rainham about several issues. The main concerns raised were about the overflow of drainage and how poor the drainage systems are along Stirling Close. Other concerns raised included broken refuse bins and various disrepair issues.
Stirling Close residents of all ages, take pride in where they live and want the Council to do the same. Broken bins and empty noticeboards make for a sorry sight when walking though the estate, and Margaret believes the residents deserve better.
Margaret has since taken up all issues raised with Havering Council and will update residents when she receives a response.
Margaret Mullane told the Havering Daily: “During the floods of 2020,Stirling Close was submerged in water, to the point where the car park could not be seen. Havering must take these drainage concerns more seriously to prevent this happening again should we have heavy rainfall. The estate is a small community within itself, simple things such as a notice board should be bursting with local information for residents to access. I will stay on these issues and update residents throughout.”
