A quarter of London Ambulances to be replaced to comply with ULEZ- ‘This is a colossal waste of NHS money’ Keith Prince AM.
London Assembly member for Havering and Redbridge has hit out at the news that a quarter of London’s ambulances will need to be replaced to comply with the ultra low emission zone following’s its expansion in August this year.
The ULEZ expansion to all outer London boroughs faced heavy opposition from both Labour and Conservative MPs and local residents who have been protesting throughout the year.
Keith Prince AM, told the Havering Daily:
“The ULEZ expansion is costing Londoners dear. Now we hear a quarter of London’s ambulances will need to be replaced to comply with ULEZ. This is a colossal waste of NHS money and will mean less money for patient care. Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ expansion is nothing but a money grab to try to plug a £14bn blackhole in TfL finances, no matter what the cost is to everyone else.”
