Off duty police officer arrests prolific Harold Wood shoplifter.

A Harold Wood Safer Neighbourhood police officer who was off duty yesterday, detained and arrested a prolific local thief.

The thief had already hit two businesses on Station Road in the morning, when he was detained and arrested by the off duty officer.

The thief was arrested for assault on an emergency service worker and theft. The stolen items were also returned to the businesses in Harold Wood.
