North Romford Residents Association clear paths across Faircross Avenue.
North Romford H.R.A was contacted by a resident recently to report blackberry brambles growing across the pavement in Faircross Avenue from a piece of land to the rear of a property in Berkeley Avenue, Collier Row.
As a result of the overgrown paths, rats have been sighted as the piece of land is a dumping ground for drink cans and food wrappers.
The land was retained as a separate area when an additional property was built in Berkeley Avenue.
Members of the Havering Residents Association were first contacted in October 2021 regarding overgrowing vegetation on this wasteland and worked with Havering Council who contacted the owner and the vegetation was cut back.
Yesterday, North Romford H.R.A Team members cut back the vegetation to allow unrestricted safe access to the pavement.
An email has once again been sent to Havering Enforcement asking for a section 215 notice under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to be issued. (A local planning authority may use a maintenance notice (section 215 notice) where the condition of land or buildings adversely affects the amenity of an area.)
