Havering’s Mayor Councillor Stephanie Nunn and Consort Councillor Barry Mugglestone yesterday 16 August, presented Romford Town Centre Sergeant Sarah Wolfe with a bunch of flowers to say thank from the community as she prepares to leave the borough.

Sergeant Wolfe began her policing career as a police special in Havering 17 years ago and went on to join the police full time and become a Town Centre Sergeant in Romford. Sarah has done an outstanding job with her team reducing the level of anti social behaviour and tackling violence against women and girls.

She is leaving East Area to take up a central role based at New Scotland Yard where she will head the violence against women and girls unit.
