Woman sustains head injuries after having her bag and attempting to stop thief outside Romford supermarket.
A woman had her bag snatched from her shopping trolley outside of Aldi on Marlborough Road, and attempted to stop the suspect from driving away.
Police were called at 17:49 on Saturday 22 July to the Romford supermarket following reports of a woman having her bag stolen and sustaining a head injury.
It is alleged that the suspect who is described as a white male in his 30’s with black coloured hair, a beard and of slim build wearing a dark t-shirt, had stolen a bag from the woman’s trolley and went to drive off in a small red coloured van.
The woman tried to prevent the van from driving away and fell to the ground. She was treated by London Ambulance Service at the location and taken to hospital.
