HORNCHURCH ROUND TABLE ANNOUNCES 2023 SUMMER SANTA CHARITY COLLECTION

The Hornchurch Round Table is delighted to announce the highly anticipated return of its annual Summer Santa Charity Collection, scheduled to take place on August 20, 2023. Building on the tremendous success of last year’s event, the Round Table is once again calling upon the community to join forces in spreading joy and making a difference.

In 2022, the Summer Santa Charity Collection witnessed an overwhelming outpouring of participation and generosity from the Hornchurch community. This year, the Round Table aims to surpass expectations and extend its impact even further.

“We were truly humbled by the incredible support we received last year,” expressed Phil Shacklady, lead organizer of the Hornchurch Round Table.

“It is a testament to the exceptional kindness and generosity of our community. This year, our mission is to go above and beyond, reaching out to more individuals in need and making a lasting impact.

“In addition to cash donations, which will be distributed among a variety of local charities, the 2023 Summer Santa Charity Collection will also be accepting donations for food banks. This new initiative aims to tackle the pressing issue of food insecurity in the local area by providing essential supplies to families and individuals who need them the most.

“We are proud to introduce the inclusion of food bank donations in our collection this year,” Phil added. “We have formed a strategic partnership with Romford Food Bank, which is facing urgent shortages not only in food but also in toiletries. This initiative directly addresses the needs of our community, and we are confident it will make a significant difference.”

The Hornchurch Round Table warmly invites everyone to join them on August 20th. Whether it’s through a cash donation, a contribution of food or toiletries to the Romford Food Bank, or simply spreading the word, each act of support plays a crucial role in transforming lives.
