The Ricky Hayden Memorial donate life saving bleed kit to new Rainham Leisure Centre.

Anti knife crime campaigner and bereaved mother Sue Hedges has donated a Daniel Baird bleed kit to the newly opened Rainham leisure centre.

Sue visited the centre for its opening last Saturday 1 July and was able to hand the bleed kit over to Tony Phillips, General Manager at Everyone Active.

The Daniel Baird bleed kits are proven life savers, they are used to stop any form of catastrophic bleeding.

Sue told the Havering Daily:

“These kits are life saving tools and very important to have in our community. I am happy to have donated one from the Ricky Hayden Memorial to the new leisure centre in Rainham.

“Thank you to the centre Manager Tony for accepting this kit on our behalf.”

Sue is an incredible community champion who spends her days campaigning against knife crime and donating the Daniel Baird bleed units and bags across as many different venues as she can.

Tony Phillips, Centre Manager, Sue Hedges and Havering’s Leader of the Council, Councillor Morgon.
