Anti knife crime campaigner donates life saving bleed kit to Billericay Town Football Club.
Havering’s very own Sue Hedges is not only an anti knife crime campaigner, but also a local legend who has dedicated her time donating Daniel Baird bleed kits on behalf of the Ricky Hayden Memorial.
In 2016, Sue and her family lost their much loved son Ricky Hayden when he was stabbed outside their home in Marks Gate. The family have never recovered, and never will.
Now, in his memory, she spends her days donating Daniel Baird bleed kits across the London and Essex community in the hope to save as many lives as she can.
Yesterday, Monday 12 June, Sue donated a bleed kit to Billericay Town Football Club in Essex. The kit was gratefully accepted by club general manager Gary Henderson.
Sue told the Havering Daily: “Great to donate another Daniel Baird bleed kit today. As we know these are proven life saving tools that are desperately needed across our communities.
“Thank you to Gary for accepting this kit, they are so important to have as they are such vital life saving kits to stop catastrophic bleeding.”
