Councillor Stephanie Nunn Mayor of Havering, yesterday held an afternoon tea and cake event in conjunction with Havering Asian Social and Welfare Association (HASWA) and raised an incredible £440!

The Mayor’s chosen charity this year is First Step and all the money raised from events will go to this charity who do incredible work supporting children and their parents in our community.

Yesterday afternoon saw a full house in Elm Park as locals came out to have a slice of cake, a cup of tea and lots of fun.

All the cakes were homemade by many of the local residents and a raffle and tombola were also on the list!

Well done to Councillor Nunn and Councillor Mugglestone for this first event that was a huge success!
