Havering’s Leader of the Opposition and GLA Member Councillor Keith Prince has added further support to the bid to refurbish Gallows Corner.

Councillor Prince has been working on these much needed improvements for several years, as the battle for a new flyover continues.

Gallows Corner is the oldest temporary flyover in the country, having been installed over fifty years ago.

Councillor Prince told the Havering Daily:

“I am delighted that we are one step closer to getting the flyover at Gallows Corner refurbished.
I have today been asked to sign a letter of support to ensure the Government back the scheme and am sending my support today.
“It has been one of my priorities to secure improvements for the flyover and hope that the funds are made available to make the much needed improvements.”
