Mawney Ward Councillor elected as Deputy Leader of Havering Conservatives.
Former Havering Mayor and Mawney Ward Councillor Dilip Patel has been elected the Deputy Leader of Havering’s Conservative Group.
Councillor Keith Prince is the new Opposition Leader and Councillor Patel the new Deputy who now take charge of Havering’s Conservative Group.
Councillor Patel did a fantastic job as Mayor across our borough and is a much respected Councillor in the Romford area.
He has worked in his shop in the Mawney ward community for over thirty years and is a very active Councillor.
Councillor Patel told the Havering Daily: “I am very honoured to have been elected as Deputy Leader and look forward to working alongside Councillor Prince as our new Leader.”
