Rap Star Dedicates Anti Knife Crime Track To Bereaved Parents.

Rap star Ice-T-21 is no stranger to the world of knife crime having been in a gang himself. Now, having turned his life around, he has dedicated a special track to parents who have lost their children to knife crime.

Ice-T-21 was so moved by these parents and their plight to stop knife crime that he wrote ‘Broken World’ especially for them and will feature some of them in a special video.

“It is important that we work together as a team,” says the rapper. “Having been in a gang and having experienced the other side. I really want to stress to all the youths that it is never too late to change.”

Ice-T-21 is not just a famous rapper with a huge following, but a real community champion prepared to stand up and help make a difference in our communities.

“These mums are forgotten by most people, yet no one else can tell the stories that they do. They live with the consequences of knife crime everyday.

“It is vital that we learn off each other. I can learn from them and I can share with them the experiences I have been through having been in a gang.”

The rapper stresses how important it is that he only raps about what he has had real experience on.

“I only rap about what I know, what I have experienced and been through. I would not rap about something I haven’t experienced. It really is important to be able to identify with what you are rapping about.”

He also stresses how crucial it is that we work together as a community to stop the horrors of knife crime.

“We must work as a community to tackle this. It is important that we all stand together and stop these horrors from taking place on our streets each day.”

Ice-T-21 will attend a special knife crime meeting where he will have the opportunity to meet the bereaved parents and anti knife crime campaigners to join forces with them and tackle this nightmare.
