Male Arrested On Suspicion Of GBH After Man in His 50s Left With Serious Injuries In Romford.

A residential property on Crowlands Avenue in Romford has been cordoned off by police after an assault has left a man in his 50s in hospital with serious injuries.

The incident happened on Saturday 1 April at 6.20pm. A 32 year old man was arrested on Sunday on Suspicion of GBH.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“Officers are investigating after an injured man was admitted to hospital

Officers were called at 18:20hrs on Saturday, 1 April to an east London hospital.

A man in his mid-50s had been admitted with serious injuries following a suspected assault.

The man remains in hospital in a serious condition.

His next of kin have been informed.

A crime scene was put in place at, and outside, a residential address in Crowlands Avenue, Romford.

On Sunday, 2 April a 32 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH.

He has been bailed to a date in late June 2023.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
