Another 1700 trees planted in Havering
Over the weekend, Trees for Havering and their team of volunteers dedicated Saturday and Sunday morning to planting 1700 new trees at Stubbers Adventure Centre in Upminster. Despite challenging weather conditions including heavy rain, strong winds, and thick mud, the team, consisting of both Havering residents and groups from other London boroughs, persevered to plant as many trees as possible within the allotted time.
The volunteers worked tirelessly throughout the weekend, carefully selecting and planting a diverse range of tree species, including oak, beech, and hazel. The team also provided guidance to visitors on the importance of tree planting and the role that trees play in maintaining a healthy environment.
The success of the weekend was a testament to the dedication and hard work of the volunteers, who braved the inclement weather conditions to ensure the project’s completion. Trees for Havering and its team of volunteers hope that their efforts will inspire others to take action toward creating a greener and more sustainable future.
