Trees for Havering: Community Plants 500 New Trees
Trees for Havering has been working tirelessly to promote the benefits of tree planting in the borough of Havering. They recently organised a successful tree-planting event in Elm Park, where 500 new trees were planted. The event was a huge success, with volunteers coming together to help create a greener, more sustainable future for their community.
The event was held on a bright and sunny day, with volunteers gathering early in the morning to begin the planting process. The trees were provided by Trees for Havering and included a variety of species that are known to thrive in the local climate. The volunteers were given a brief introduction to tree planting and were then given the tools they needed to get started.
The planting process itself was a lot of fun, with volunteers working together to dig holes and plant the trees. There was a real sense of community spirit, with people from all walks of life coming together to help create a brighter future for their community.
The event was a great success, and Trees for Havering is now calling on more people to get involved in their upcoming tree-planting events. There are still opportunities to join in and help create a more sustainable future for the borough. The next events are scheduled to take place at Stubbers on Saturday 18th March and Sunday 19th March and at Belhus Woods on Sunday 26th March.
18th March: Stubbers Adventure Centre Tree Planting Event No.1
19th March: Stubbers Adventure Centre Tree Planting Event No.2
26th March: Belhus Woods Tree Planting Event
As time is running out to plant trees, it is important that as many people as possible get involved in these events. Trees are essential for our environment and our future, and every tree planted helps to make a positive impact on our planet. By getting involved in these events, you can help to create a brighter, greener future for yourself and your community.
