VIDEO:Celebrating International Women’s Day-Three Rainham Ward Councillors who are amazing community champions.

In May last year, three new councillors for the Rainham and Wennington ward were elected, Sue Ospreay, Jackie McArdle and Sarah Edwards. Their election victory really did not come as a surprise as these ladies are to say well known in the area, is an understatement. They have been for years, amazing community champions who have worked and still do tirelessly across the borough.

It does not matter what party you support, these ladies are respected for their incredible hard work and determination in making their ward a better place to live in. They are community champions who focus on their residents and how they can make their lives and their area better.

There isn’t a week that goes by that these three councillors are not undertaking a new project to help others. Be it in the allotments, at Rainham library, or with their drama group.

The weekend after being elected as councillors, Sarah Edwards was out collecting litter left over by party goers, Sue was at the allotments with Jackie hosting children with special needs. Their work never stops.

Today, for International Women’s Day we thank Jackie,Sarah and Sue for the never ending hard work and incredible enthusiasm and energy!
