Andrew Rosindell M.P. has issued a statement on the Illegal Migration Bill hailing it as a success and a positive sign for the future.

Romford Member of Parliament, Andrew Rosindell M.P., a long-standing critic of the current arrangements afforded to illegal migrants, has said that the bill is “a turning point in this fight,” and that he hopes that “we can restore the sovereign borders which have protected this country from invasion for millennia.”

“For far too long has illegal immigration been undermining the integrity and unity of our United Kingdom.”

A staunch Brexiteer, it was Mr Rosindell’s belief that withdrawing from the European Union would allow Britain to have complete independence in its decision-making politically, but also independence to secure our borders through an Australian points-based immigration system. This is something he believes can be realised if we push ahead with the Illegal Immigration Bill.

The complete statement is as follows:

“For far too long has illegal immigration been undermining the integrity and unity of our United Kingdom. Britons are a welcoming people, a positive people, and a forward thinking people, but our generosity has its limits and we have grown tired of the endless stream of economic migrants crossing the Channel with the hope of exploiting this country’s open-handed welfare system.

I have fought long and hard to push for tougher legislation to be enacted in Parliament to see to it that illegal immigration is curbed. The people of Romford have had enough!

Today is a turning point in this fight. The Illegal Migration Bill aims to prevent those arriving illegally from claiming asylum, and those that do, will be blocked from returning to the country. However, this is a deterrent, not punishment. Like the rest of Europe as well as Australia, who has been in our position in the past, the Government has the iron-clad resolve to deport those who do not utilise the correct channels to securing residence in this country. Arguably more importantly, the criminal gangs that continue to exploit those genuinely searching for a better life, will see their immoral and barbaric trade drained of their profits.

I commend the statement by the Home Secretary earlier today and sincerely hope that we can restore the sovereign borders which have protected this country from invasion for millennia.”

Andrew Rosindell, who hasnt been in parliament since Apr 17 shortly before an “unnamed mp” was arrested for rape and barred from turning up in parliament. Why hasnt this moneygrabbing expenses claiming fraud been recalled? Why are we still paying him an MP’s salary, £400 a week food expenses and maximum expenses on a 2nd home thats actually his family home and has been since before he was even an mp?
