St Albans Ward Councillor Judith Holt has hit out at another consequence of the implementation of ULEZ. Councillor Holt is angry at how the expansion in August this year will impact those who visit the South Essex Crematorium.

Councillor Holt told the Havering Daily:

“People who have loved ones buried in Upminster, Hornchurch, Romford and Rainham Cemeteries or in South Essex Crematorium, may no longer be able to come to tend the graves because they cannot afford to pay the ULEZ charge. The Crematorium, especially, is for the whole of South Essex. A lady in the garden centre in Corbets Tey Village told me some customers from Norfolk would no longer be able to visit. It’s very sad.”

Councillor Holt has been fighting the ULEZ expansion alongside her fellow Conservative Councillors and has called on Havering Council to join the five boroughs bringing a judicial review against Sadiq Khan.
