Bus driver thought to have suffered a medical episode after bus collision in Hornchurch.
A bus driver was taken to an east London hospital after a bus collided with railings on Station Lane in Hornchurch last night.
The incident happened after 5pm and saw the bus crash into the metal railings just outside of Hornchurch tube station.
A spokesperson for the Met police told the Havering Daily:
“Police were called at 17:18hrs on Thursday, 16 February to reports of a collision at Station Lane, Hornchurch.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. At the scene a bus had collided with a barrier/railings.
The driver of the bus was taken to an east London hospital for treatment to what is thought to have been a medical episode.
There were no injuries.
There were no arrests.
Officer cordoned the area as a safety precaution until the bus was recovered.”
