Vans seized after found to be carrying stolen car parts.
A man has been arrested and two vans and their contents have been seized after officers stopped two vehicles in Rainham this morning.
The incident happened just after 8am on Bridge Road after officers spotted the two suspicious white vans whilst on patrol.
A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily:
“Officers patrolling Bridge Road, Rainham stopped two vehicles at around 08:00hrs on Tuesday, 24 January.
The vehicles, two vans, were found to be carrying stolen car parts. The vans and their contents have been seized.
The driver of one vehicle fled the scene.
One man was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified, breach of bail and handling stolen goods. He was taken to an east London police station where he remains at this time.
Enquiries continue.”
