Council’s quick intervention to remove shocking Elm Park graffiti.
This week the Havering Daily has reported on the shocking graffiti found on the Elm Park footbridge by local resident Lydie.
The graffiti was removed within hours thanks to the quick intervention of Havering council staff.
A spokesperson for Havering Council, told the Havering Daily:
“We take reports like this very seriously and council staff have attended the site to clear the affected area.
“The anti-Semitic graffiti is particularly shocking as we commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day later this month. This is an issue that unites us all; to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust under Nazi Persecution and other atrocities.
“We will be supporting the Metropolitan Police and British Transport Police with their enquiries.”
