Brookside Theatre on the look out for local performers.

The Brookside Theatre are searching for talented, local performers to join the cast of their production of The Sound of Music which will be staged in Romford in February 2023.

The production company is looking for adult actors and singers to join the cast of one of the best loved musicals of all time.

The theatre’s Artistic Director, Jai Sepple said, “The Sound of Music remains one of the most popular musicals of all time. With a timeless score including Do-Re-Mi, My Favorite Things and Climb Ev’ry Mountain, this global phenomenon continues to enchant audiences across the world and we are thrilled to be staging it at the Brookside Theatre. It is a fantastic venue and I am confident that audiences are going to be delighted.

“This is an incredible opportunity for any performers from across Havering and the surrounding area to perform in one of the world’s biggest musicals! We are looking for strong female singers to play nuns, male actors to play a variety of roles plus a young male performer to play the role of Rolf; the telegram boy and love interest of Liesl von Trapp. We are encouraging as many performers as possible to come forward and join us in this much loved musical!”

The Sound Of Music will performed at the Brookside Theatre from 15 to 19 February 2023.
