Romford ambulance staff join strike action.
Over 20,000 ambulance staff including paramedics undertook another day of strike action yesterday, Wednesday January 11. Staff at the Romford ambulance base on Waterloo Road joined in the strike action.
The walkout is over pay and working conditions. Staff have spoken about the incredibly long wait they face each day outside of hospitals, alongside a shortage in staff.
The strike began at 11 am and finished at 11pm, although some staff left to answer 999 calls.
