Well done to firefighter Tony Gladman who has raised nearly £8K on Friday November 4 for his cousin Bethany who is battling a brain tumour, for charity Fire Step and the Fire Fighters charity.

The Elm Park resident and Ilford firefighter has been raising money for his cousin who is being treated with a special form of radiotherapy to help her beat this tumour.

On Friday night Tony held a special fund raising event at the Royal British Legion that saw a silent auction, a special DJ and raffle to help him raise just under £8K.

Tony also ran the London marathon recently to raise as much money as he can for these very worth while causes.

Well done to Tony and his family who are great community champions always supporting those in need locally.
