VIDEO:Project Edward joins forces with Met Police officers across Havering and east London.
Members of the Project Edward team joined forces with the Met Police on Wednesday 19 October. Project Edward, that stands for Every Day Without A Road Death, held a week of action this week to highlight the importance of road safety.
James from Project Edward joined forces with Inspector Dan Arnold from the Traffic team based at the Chadwell Heath garage, alongside officers from Bow to host a special day of action across east London and Havering.
Officers were actively out on the streets to chat to motorists and cyclists about the importance of road safety.
Met traffic officers spend a great deal of time working on road safety with the community, to help revent further deaths taking place on our roads.
Officers spent the morning on Whitechapel Road, stopping motorists and cyclists and talking to them about the importance of driving safely to avoid death and serious injury. From there, the team came to Havering with the Project Edward car.
High visibility patrols such as these provide great community engagement and send a clear message to all road users.
