Callous thieves steal police cadets equipment worth £10K.
Heartless thieves have stolen over £10K worth of camping equipment used by Havering Volunteer Police Cadets. The brazen act of theft took place on Monday, just before 7pm at Emerson Park School in Hornchurch in front of many parents who had come to collect their children.
Thieves stole a trailer that contained all the equipment the youngsters use for their camping trips as cadets.
Havering’s Volunteer Police Cadet Co-ordinator PC Anthony Kiddle told the Havering Daily: “I felt sick when I arrived at the school car park and saw that the trailer had gone. Our trailer contained all the equipment the cadets use for our camping trips. The school had given us space to able to leave it there and it was tucked away in a corner of the car park.”
Volunteer police cadets go camping with instructors to teach children many important skills and to provide youngsters with new learning opportunities.
“I was very sad to see that someone had come along and stolen our whole trailer so brazenly,” added PC Kiddle.
All the equipment is marked with HVPC so if anyone is offered any camping equipment marked with these letters, please contact the police.
“Our trips next year are now looking very doubtful,” finished PC Kiddle.
These callous thieves have now stopped youngsters from being able to go on camping trips where they have the opportunity to learn vital new skills.
Please be on the look out for any camping equipment being sold that has the letters HVPC marked on them.
