Great news as puppy Luna safely returns home to her family after four horrendous days without her.

For four days residents across Havering had been on the look out for missing puppy Luna. The ten month old white pup was at her local park in Harold Wood with her owner Julie, when she got frightened by another dog and ran off.

Animal rescuers Pippa’s Army, who do an amazing job across Havering and Thurrock, immediately stepped in and the search for little Luna began. Her photo was shared every where, residents kept a close eye across nearby areas and her heartbroken family lived in hope that she would soon be spotted.

Owner Julie said: “We had four very long days and nights.”

Havering is definitely an animal loving borough and Luna’s disappearance had left residents anxious and worried for Julie and her family.

The incredible news to report is that on Monday Luna was found and all of Havering not only breathed a huge sigh of relief, but I’m sure most of us shed a tear as we saw the photo of her reunited with Julie and Stuart.

Now, the couple have set up a just giving page to raise money for animal charity Pippas Army, in support of the incredible work their volunteers do everyday.

“We are absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude towards Pippa’s Army. They have been alongside us day and night and without their expert guidance, advice and reassurance, there is no way we would have been able to get our Luna back.

“In recognition of their selfless dedication and support, we would love to raise as much money as possible to help them continue the amazing work they do to reunite lost pets with their owners,” Finished Julie.

This story has lifted the spirit of most Havering residents who are over joyed at seeing Luna safely back home with her family.

Pippa’s Army really are heroes. Not only do they support families in need, but let us also remember how after the tragic Wennington fire, the ladies spent days looking for lost and injured pets.

If you would like to support the incredible work they do, please see the go fund me link below where Julie and Stuart are looking to raise as much as they can for the charity and have already gone passed the £1,000 hoped for.
