Fatal collision on A13 Ferry Lane-road closures in place.

We are sad to report that there has been a fatal collision this morning on the A13 eastbound at the Ferry Lane interchange.

A man in his 50’s driving the lorry has sadly died at the scene.

Road closures are in place.

A spokesperson for the Met police told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called at 06:09hrs on Thursday, 25 August to reports of an overturned lorry on the eastbound A13 at the Ferry Lane Interchange.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance and the London Fire Brigade.

A man aged in his 50s, who was driving the lorry, was pronounced dead at the scene. Offices are in the process of informing his next of kin.

No other injuries were reported.”

The eastbound carriageway is closed between the Ferry Lane Interchange and the Wennington Interchange. Drivers are encouraged to find an alternative route.

Anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 1340/25Aug.
