Ilford man charged with sale of fake Covid vaccination records.

Met Police officers investigating the suspected creation and sale of fake COVID-19 vaccination records have charged two people.

The Crown Prosecution Service authorised detectives to charge the individuals following an investigation by the Met’s Cyber Crime team.

Wayne Knight, 37 (20.06.85), of Ilford was charged with conspiracy to gain unauthorised access to computer material, contrary to section 1 of Criminal Attempts Act 1977.

Friha Farid, 28 (01.06.94), of South Woodfood was charged with conspiracy to gain unauthorised access to computer material, contrary to section 1 of Criminal Attempts Act 1977.

They are both due to attend Barkingside Magistrates’ Court Court on Wednesday, 7 September.
