Jon Cruddas MP offers support to residents impacted by Wennington fire as Council’s Civil Contingency plan activated.

The Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas has asked residents to contact his office if they need help following the large fire in Wennington

Mr Cruddas told the Havering Daily: “I have been in direct contact with Havering Council’s Chief Executive and the LFB local commander to make sure all support and assistance is being given to local residents and the fire fighters. The Council’s Civil Contingency plan has been activated. This is an horrendous situation. I understand that at least one fire fighter has been taken to hospital and hopefully all of the residents are now safe”

Former firefighter and Councillor for Beam Park ward Councillor Trevor McKeever is also on site offering assistance to both local residents and our firefighters.
