Two men flee A12 collision that leaves a man in a life threatening condition.
A man in his 20s is in a life threatening condition following a smash on the A12 Harold Wood in the early hours of this morning.
Roads remain closed by the petrol station on the A 12 Colchester Road following the crash where one of the vehicles collided with the petrol station.
Two men involved in the collision fled the scene and are being sought by police officers.
A Met Police spokesperson told the Havering Daily:
“Police were called at about 01:20hrs by London Ambulance Service following a collision involving two cars, one of which then collided with a petrol station on Colchester Road (A12), RM3.
“Officers attended alongside London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade and London Air Ambulance.
“Two men are believed to have left the scene prior to police arrival. Searches are ongoing to locate them.
A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital where he remains in a life- threatening condition.
“Another man- no further details- was also taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
“A number of roads are closed while enquiries continue.”
