It’s time to “put your beer in the sideboard here” and get “yerself” along to see the brand-new theatre show Rabbit Rabbit, which celebrates the music of cockney chart-toppers Chas and Dave.

Starring the long-established, Essex-based band Triple Cream, the fast-moving production features all of the famous duo’s top 20 hits including Ain’t No Pleasing You, Gertcha!, The Sideboard Song, London Girls, Margate, Poor Old Mr Woogie and, of course, Rabbit.

Triple Cream have been delighting audiences across the country with their superb musicianship and witty banter for an incredible 46 years. The trio – who all sing – is made up of keyboard player Dave Brock, from Benfleet, drummer Brian Greenaway, from Canvey Island, and bass player Harvey Allen, from Westcliff.

Dave Brock says that not only has the group performed before Chas and Dave, they have also played with Chas and Dave.

“Chas Hodges of Chas and Dave, who is sadly no longer with us, had some very kind words for us,” says Dave Brock.

“Both Chas and Dave were in the audience when we performed their hits while we were the support act for Sixties soul legend Jimmy James. Chas told us ‘what you’re doing is great – that’s spot on, keep doing what you’re doing’.

“We’d got to know them as we had the privilege of playing with them as the resident band at King’s Club in Canvey.”

Rabbit Rabbit is the latest touring theatre show to come from Canvey Island-based theatre show producers Entertainers. Company director James Taylor promises: “This show will have you smiling from ear to ear.”
