Fire at maisonette in Elm Park.

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a maisonette on Tadworth Parade in Elm Park on Friday June 3.

Part of a maisonette on the first and second floor of a three-storey building was damaged by the fire. A lean-to was also destroyed. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took nine calls to the blaze.

The Brigade was called at 20:33 and the fire was under control by 21:20. Fire crews from Hornchurch, Romford, Greenwich and Wennington fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
